Early Life & Roots
Born on October 13, 1990, in Sydney, Australia, Daniella Yousef Rahme grew up balancing two cultures — her Lebanese heritage and her Australian upbringing. The daughter of Lebanese singer Youssef Rahme, she was raised in a home where music, art, and identity were always at the heart of family life. After completing her studies at Rosebank College in Sydney, she pursued training at the National Institute of Dramatic Art and Macquarie University, before later continuing her education at Notre Dame University–Louaize in Lebanon. This duality — East and West — would later become a defining trait of her artistry.
From Pageants to the Dance Floor
Her rise began when she was crowned Miss Lebanon Emigrant 2010, representing the Lebanese diaspora with elegance and charisma. But it was in 2014 that Daniella became a household name: she entered—and won—Dancing with the Stars: Raqs el Noujoum, Season 2. Her grace, discipline, and passion for performance captivated audiences across the Arab world.
The momentum led to high-profile hosting roles on MBC’s X Factor and Arab Casting on Abu Dhabi TV, solidifying her presence as a dynamic TV personality.
The Actress Emerges
Daniella’s true dream, however, was acting. In 2018, she landed her first major role as Yara in Beirut City. That same year, she starred in Tango as Farah, a performance that won her the Murex d’Or Phenomenon of the Year and the title of Best Actress 2018 by Kuwait’s Al-Anbaa newspaper.
Her career accelerated with The Writer (2019), where she played Majdouline. Streaming on Netflix, the series became an international hit. She went on to lead in Ramadan blockbusters like Al Awdah, Awlad Adam (2020), and later DNA.
From 2021 to 2023, she embodied Rym in Lal Mot (Till Death) — a role that brought her international recognition, airing on both Netflix and Shahid. Her performance won her the Murex d’Or Best Actress 2020 and the DIAFA Best Lebanese Actress 2022. Today, she continues to shine as Rouh in Nafas (2025), streaming on Shahid.
